BEST MAC EMAIL CLIENT REDDIT FULL
It also has full line spacing between each bullet. Then there is a difference in the way it formats text for the user to read incoming emails, which may or may not be separate from the composition formatting.įor instance, Airmail seems to format emails with a larger left and top margin than other clients, so viewing emails sent via Airmail has those margins. You could compose the same exact message in every client, and each message will look different when the recipient views it. Besides the interfaces and general behavior, there are significant differences in the way each client handles the formatting of email compositions, replies, quoting old messages, etc. People don't think about it, but the amount of variables between clients is off the charts. I keep hopping between just about every available client just to see what I like best. But for it not to be sent with the correct HTML coding specifying the desired font is just plain daft.
Just like how you force all to be plain text. I’ve got no issue with clients providing options to override incoming mail, that’s the recipients choice. If the sender is from Mac mail it will be rendered using Times New Roman regardless of any settings the sender or recipient specify. The problem is in the corporate world everyone uses Outlook. Either way, it probably won’t look so bad.
If the sender is using almost any other client the Mac receiver will see it in the senders font, not their default. If the sender and recipient are both using Mac mail it will use whatever the recipient sets as their default font. Mac mail however does not, and as a result recipients get mixed results.
Outlook specifies it as the font you compose the email in. I get what you are saying, but that isn’t the issue I’m describing.
